Led by Pastor Raphael Levi S. Arnan, a resident pastor of the United Evangelical Church of Palawan (UECP), the church hosted a transformative seminar titled ‘Solving the Human Puzzle’ for the faculty and staff of Palawan Hope Christian School on August 8, 2024.

During the seminar, Ptr. Levi introduced the D I S C personality model, which divides people into four categories based on their behavior and communication styles: D for Dominance, I for Influential, S for Steadiness, and C for Compliance.

“The seminar not only provided insights into the personality dynamics of the staff but also facilitated deeper conversations among the faculty, encouraging collaboration and improved communication”, said Ms. Jemelyn Aldaya, a business office staff of Palawan Hope.

All participants found the seminar both enjoyable and beneficial, appreciating the chance to bond while gaining valuable tools to enhance their working relationships.

Ptr. Levi, who has used the DISC model to improve organizational dynamics in various sectors such as corporate, government, and family settings, highly recommended this training for the school community, including faculty, staff, students, and even parents.

“This kind of training can help the school community understand human dynamics better, leading to better relationships, leadership, and positive growth,” Ptr. Arnan explained.

For those who may feel challenged by their personality type, Pastor advises, “There’s nothing wrong with your style. Instead, look for ways to develop versatility and find how each type works and relates better together.”

He believes that undergoing this training will foster a better understanding and appreciation of oneself and others, helping build stronger, more positive relationships within the school community.
