Palawan Hope Christian School is a Chinese Christian School established in the year 1982 by the United Evangelical Church of the Philippines or UECP formerly known as the Chinese Evangelical Church. It is registered with the Security of Exchange Commission as a non-stock, non-profit educational institution. It is an accredited school by the Bureau of Immigration to accept Foreign Students.
Palawan Hope Christian is governed by the UECP School Board of Trustees, elected every two years led by the Chairman, other elected officers are the Vive Chairman, the treasurer, the secretary and other members from the UECP church board of elders and deacons. The UECP board then appoints local Christian businessmen of Puerto Princesa as members of the Board. The UECP Board of Trustees also appoints the School Managing Director to supervise the daily affairs of the school.
All school programs offering from Preschool, Elementary and High School are recognized by the Department of Education. It is an accredited school to accept foreign students by the Bureau of Immigration. It is a member school of Association of Christian Schools or ACSI and the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges and Universities or ACSCU.
At present, the school is the official testing center for college admissions of the De La Salle University, the Ateneo De Manila University, and the MAPUA University.
The school has been granted of Level I accreditation status by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP) through the Association of Christian Schools Colleges and Universities (ACSCU).
The main purpose of Palawan Hope Christian School is to provide quality English Basic Education with Chinese lessons integrated with sound christian values and principles for the attainment of academic and spiritual excellence in order to prepare every student for college life and beyond. The second and equally important purpose is to share the gospel and the gift of salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Community.
